“I find endless inspiration in supporting and living through these designers’ big, bold and beautiful visions of the future. Without them and their craziness, the world is boring.”
Well known in the world of fashion and entertainment internationally, Jamie worked as a TV producer in China and produced many popular TV series including “Punked” China version that received record breaking production value and number of views in the history of Chinese TV. She also had the opportunity to work for YueSai Kan, often referred to as the “Oprah” of China, as the director of events and philanthropic activities that raised significant funding for the associated foundation. Jamie also created the documentary series “Finding Miss China” which garnered over 20 million views in its first week of streaming. In 2020, Jamie became an early stage investor in and consultant for Altava, a pioneering company in the digital fashion industry and a finalist for the LVMH prize.

“As a sci-fi enthusiast, I think fashion has exciting unrealised potential for experimentation & playfulness. Innovative technologies and materials will soon start making our wildest wearable imaginations reality - extending our capabilities, allowing for unbounded creative representation, and strengthening how we interface with the natural world. I’m excited to work with the coolest global designers to realise these futures for fashion”
Brooke Smith is an American creative technologist, curator and creative producer. Her work centres on critically investigating emerging technologies as disruptors and accelerators of social and cultural norms, design, and lived experiences. She attended Parsons School of Design where she studied Design and Technology - merging computer programming, robotics, fashion, digital fabrication, mixed reality and generative art.

Through their work, ModaMorphosis explores the question: if your clothing could look, behave, or be made of anything, how would you adorn, equip, or transform your body? Visitors will be immersed in fashion’s future while celebrating designers who are acting as alchemists to re-engineer the material possibilities of our garments. This interactive exhibition will feature emerging designers redefining the fibres, dynamic capabilities, craft, platforms and role of “designer” within fashion.
